I have an idea! Rather than talk about depressing stuff, let's all talk about something else. As someone who cooks a lot, I like talking about food. Furthermore, since I work in both the bar and the soup kitchen, I probably end up cooking for most people here at one time or another. So in conclusion, everyone - including Miss Nani and Shinji, even ( Read more... )

Food does not all taste the same. If that's what you think, you clearly haven't had good food in your lifetime. Of course I have favorites. Thanks for asking. I like modanyaki best of all, but of course I also enjoy okonomiyaki, takoyaki, ikayaki, and Kouya's vegetarian stuff.

How do you make them? What are they made out of?

His canonical favorite foods are mainstream 'cliche' kansai, yes. shockinglycool January 20 2009, 22:02:42 UTC
Modanyaki! Okonomiyaki, but with fried noodles.

Okonomiyaki! Fried stuff. Dough made with cabbage and yam, cooked with other vegetables and meats. The word means "what you want, fried," and it's the specialty of where I'm from. The second-best food in the world after modanyaki.

Takoyaki! Fried octopus and dough, rolled into balls.

Iyayaki! Fried squid. Also with dough. But it's not the same as takoyaki.

Kouya's - well, it's special temple food, and there's a lot of it. It's cooked in a special vegetarian style.

[Doesn't really get why you need so many different foods and to put time into them, but okay.]

Can any of those 'delicious' things be made here?

Many delicious things can be made here. Not really those specifically, but others. All the time. Every day, in fact.
