...I was thinking about not using this thing until I got shocked, since I never got shocked from the mistletoe thing, but then I realized I had a question I needed to ask. I don't think it's like that.

But there are a lot of Westerners here, y'know? I'm curious, too, and we can't do much traditional stuff, I think, so it might be fun to do it in the American custom.

Why not? They did Christmas, there's nothing wrong with doing New Year as close as possible.

No, but it's a matter of not conforming to the majority. I have nothing against celebrating something in another's style, but should you sacrifice your own traditions to do so?

So will you be doing both? Or just picking the one the majority of people are used to?
