Religion has come up a lot, lately.

Guess so. Guess some people like to talk about it in times of stress, or something.

They do.

Turning to religion... like a last resort... outlet... explanation... wish...

Sounds bad when you put it like that.

...is there another way to put it?

I've prayed so many times I'm sure I have the bible memorized.

And I'm still cursed.

I'm sorry for that.

No, you're not. Nobody is sorry for what they don't understand.

Why not?

Pity is unnecessary.

I don't feel pity for you. I don't think I've changed a thing for you.

I feel sorry, because you say you're cursed, and something you thought would help didn't.

...that's an interesting way to look on it.

You don't need to apologize, though. Whether you believe or not, everything continues.

I agree with that, at least. I guess it's just a matter of, if it doesn't matter if you believe or not... it might be nicer to believe.

What do you believe in?

Why do you believe?

I believe - in a lot, actually. But basically... what I was taught. Grew up in a Buddhist temple.

And I believe it because I want to. Because it comforts me. Because it makes life easier. I don't think for a second it's the same for everyone... I can only apply it to myself.
