[Sorata sounds tired, but also pretty amused.]

I understand now.

There's a reason people under twenty shouldn't drink....

...It turns out to be dangerous.

How enlightening.

It tastes bad, I have a stomachache, I have a headache, and I just slept for almost twenty hours straight. So, "dangerous."

Oh. So, in other words, you just can't handle your drink. Thought it was gonna be something serious.

Hey, hey, I think that's pretty serious, y'know.

Could've been so much worse.

Really? In what way?

Uh... Have you like, never drank before- Oh, monk, right.

Well, you could've been sick, which is kind of nasty, you could not remember some (or most, I dunno) of the previous night. That kind of thing. So, could've been worse.

Hey, what if that did happen? If I don't remember last night, then how would I know I don't remember it?

More importantly, I don't really get why people do this for fun.

...You just know if you can't remember. Because, like, there will be the odd thing that you do remember, you know? And also, if you remember how you got, like, back to your apartment and stuff, then... chances are you remember all of that previous night.

I don't know.

Oh. Well, I remember that part, so I guess not. On one hand, memory loss would've added to the adventure and danger, but on the other, I think I'm glad.

Still seems like a weird thing for people to spend so much time doing, though. Since you talk to expertly, I guess you've drank a couple of times before?

Yeah, it does. Seems pointless. My friends had parties. It's not something you remain ignorant of for very long.

I guess because everyone here makes such a fuss about the bar, I figured it was somehow more interesting or fun. I was having sleeping problems, and it did help me fall asleep, but...

How rebellious of your friends. Woah. It's impressive. You're so much more worldly than I am.

I guess I just don't really have that much respect for people who use drinking as their uh, I guess 'outlet'? on such a regular basis.

...You're being serious, aren't you? It wasn't much of a big thing. It just seemed like it was something that 'should' happen. Really wasn't that great.

Who knows... a mystery.

I was joking, but just a little. But you are a lot more worldly than me.

Huh. These things really aren't great for jokes.

If I am, it was probably only though necessity. But it might not be true, you know. Worldly about my own world? Only in some ways. About anyone else's? No. Definitely not.

My sense of humor has been pretty off these past few days. It's gone defective. Even I realize it.

As for that... Hah. It's true. I even agree. I could be a genius in some things, but an idiot in all other things. Well, same with everyone. Serious discussion, again. I guess I just meant, in this case, I grew up with pretty much no people my own age around, and, y'know, in a temple, so most people are more 'worldly' than I am. And I'm easily impressed by it.
