Way to go, Sora.

Gonna try harder now? Gotta support fellow cheerful guys, right?

That's right. We're a rare resource, so we've gotta work hard. [...] And as such, others would do well to spoil and protect us, as rare things are often valuable, right?

... Y'know, you're right.

I think that means we oughta get stuff just for bein' in a good mood... 'Cause it's helpin' everyone out. Kinda.

It's like a job... Ha, I should tell Akihiko-senpai that. Maybe then he wouldn't tryin' to make me do real work.

I've heard an expression like, "cheerfulness is infectious." So, if we fulfill our requirement of cheerfulness and, uh, infecting people, it's pretty much a job, for which we should be compensated. Of course, if we're miserable, we shouldn't get paid, which adds incentive to the work.

It would definitely be an amusing thing to bring up to your sempai.

What if we're just pissed off at one person? I think that you should still get paid... like... half, or something. Can't be happy with everyone all the time...

Then again, guess I'd kinda suck at my job then, huh?

I dunno if he'd laugh, or box me in the ear... again.

Should probably be worked out in advance, huh? Anger's different from misery and sadness, anyway. Maybe, half price if we're angry at someone, but only so long as it isn't taken out on or gets in the way of being cheerful to others. Sadness is a 'you don't get paid' outright. Faking it helps no one.

[...]

How harsh of him.

I dunno though. Being a jerk to the person you're pissed at doesn't really help either... It just makes ya feel worse later.

Nah, most of the time I probably deserve it.

[...] That's true. When it comes to being angry, though, I'm no good. I try and avoid it.

So you make trouble, is it?

Heh. Guess I'm not a real cheerful guy after all... It's way too easy to get pissed at people... or jealous.

You could say that... More like they don't share my awesome sense of humour.

There's nothing wrong in itself with getting angry. At times, it's probably productive. Otherwise, what you think never gets said. [...] Not like I'm perfect, either. No one is. Everyone struggles with insecurity and jealousy and desires... if it's not one thing, it's another.

A developed sense of humor is pretty rare in this place. Even more rare, I think. I'm from kansai obviously, so I've noticed it painfully.

Nah, I'm know I'm not perfect. I'm just a normal guy...

Dude, I think we might be the only ones. Everyone's been so stiff... I mean, c'mon...

I'm envious of it.

All it means is that the path before us is clear.

I dunno why you'd envy that. It's boring.

I don't think it is at all. Normal stuff, it's one of those "foreign perspective" things. I didn't live like that, so I think it sounds fun.

The best thing I had goin' for me was getting to pl- uh, be a hero during the Dark Hour. But here, there's no Dark Hour and 'cause of the chip, I can't even use my Persona.

Guess it just kinda feels lame, when you find out you've got some special power, and then you get dropped here and it's gone again. I mean, dude. That's just harsh.

I think it's sort of nice. Like a vacation. Or it was.

But of course, not that I really get what you're talking about, if you miss it, that's valid, too, and I'm real sorry for it. It's always a shame to be taken away from the things you like. Maybe you can someday get your chip removed.
