CHARACTER INFORMATION-

Canon Character and Series: Larxene, Kingdom Hearts

In-Game Name: Larxene Fulmine

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Position & Ship: 4423, Cabin Boy.

Appearance:

Larxene is a rather short blonde girl, standing barely below average height even in heels. She's slender, and nearly flat chested, with a small waist accentuating feminine hips. She appears young, with pale skin and large, innocent seeming, green eyes, and a pretty, youthful face. When she smiles, it's normally playful, although that's never a good thing for whoever she's smiling at.

Her hair is relatively short, reaching to just past the nape of her neck, and she keeps it slicked back, out of her face. Unusually, she has two locks that refuse to lie flat, leaving them sticking up like insect antennae, but they never seem to fall into her face or get in the way. When it comes to clothing, she favours dark colours, and the modesty and manoeuvrability of long sleeves and trousers, although they're usually tucked into her knee-high high-heeled boots. Although she's always armed with small knives, hidden on her person, they can't usually be seen until she draws them to fight.

Personality:

While at first Larxene may seem friendly, even cheery, this is a façade that doesn't last long. She has a mean sense of humour, and openly considers herself 'a bad guy' when it so suits her. She is in the habit of mocking others, finding their weaknesses and exploiting them for her own amusement, whether that be through mere taunting, or something far more sinister. She will openly mock her superiors if she doesn't respect them, and those whom she considers to be friends in some way will still be teased and taunted when the mood takes her. She will, however, be quick to shut up when someone she does respect, or at least fears, tells her to.

Larxene is also an active sadist, not only does she read books on the subject, as well as advanced and simple methods of torture, but enjoys causing pain to others. She can frequently be found giggling in fights. If she loses a fight, she doesn't take well to the embarrassment, usually finding ways to excuse her failure, such as claiming that she was merely playing with or testing her opponent. When she is called on her excuses, especially if it is by someone she respects, she can become deeply annoyed, her temper being roused. She likes to win, and while she considers people to be little more than playthings, their low opinions of her ability can unseat her more accurately than any other attempts to needle her.

Abilities/Weapons:

Larxene's weapons are the small knives she keeps concealed on her person. Although they're balanced for throwing, she will often be more inclined to hold them between her fingers, effectively using them like a neko-te for short range strikes. She's fast on her feet and extremely nimble, able to kick and punch with accuracy, and her aim when she throws one of her knives is very good.

Larxene also has an innate affinity for thunder magic. An ability she has possessed since birth, she largely has it under control, and can issue powerful shocks, equivalent to a single-target Thundaga spell, to her opponent from long range. She can only work this in short bursts, however, and finds it tiring, so she will generally space out how often she uses these attacks. If she issues three large shocks in succession, they will grow progressively weaker, and it will then take nearly ten minutes for her to recover enough to issue one medium sized shock. After one hour at peak health, she will be back to full power, however, the more injured she gets, the slower her recovery time. It should also be noted that while she largely has her magical ability under control, if she is extremely agitated she may build up static like a cat's fur and give small shocks to anyone who touches her.

How well can your character hack?:

Medium hacking ability. She's experienced with difference engines from her time in the Organization, but hasn't had much chance to delve into that area of expertise as yet. She'll get better with time.

Weaknesses:

Regarding her magical ability, overuse is draining and requires recharge time. If she uses the lightning too much in one day she is likely to spend much of the next day in bed, sleeping. It also means that she is particularly weak to earth based magic spells, and they will inflict much more damage than any other kind of magic.

In terms of psychological weakness, having her physical inadequacies pointed out will infuriate her and make her lose her temper. Larxene works hard to maintain a cool, powerful, and in control appearance, and losing is not something to which she takes very well, nor is having it pointed out. Drawing attention to the flaws in the façade she maintains is the most effective way of getting to her psychologically.

History:

Born in Kropmork to a working class family, Larxene's early life was largely unremarkable. Her father worked in the mines of Nahk, and her mother was a seamstress, but not of the more infamous "seamstress" profession. She had a handful of brothers and sisters, two older ones, both girls, and three younger, one girl and two boys. The girls were expected to aid their mother, drawing in more money to support the family and look after their younger siblings.

In this environment, Larxene's education was patchy at best, but she learned to sew, and to read, and took her turns looking after her younger brothers and sister with increasing resentment. While she enjoyed being in charge of them, she didn't like it when they misbehaved, and was scolded on several occasions for punishing them too harshly for their misbehaviour.

Of the few things Larxene owned that were entirely hers, the small handful of books that she managed to procure were among her favourite. She was just about hitting her teen years when she first got hold of a book on torture methods. She read it enough times to memorise it by heart, and never once showed it to her parents.

Soon afterwards, her father disciplined her severely for beating the soles of her youngest brother's feet until they were black and blue, leaving him unable to walk without being in severe agony for days. Unfortunately, it did little to discourage Larxene, and her occasional forays into cruel punishments became more frequent, with Larxene showing less and less remorse for her acts.

When she was sixteen her parents, tired of her behaviour, and scared of her sociopathic streak, issued her with an ultimatum. She was either to stop treating her younger siblings in such a cruel manner, or she was to leave. Larxene didn't consider it much of a choice, and left by the end of the week.

She succeeded, through manipulation and a considerable degree of flirting, to secure a job in a bookshop, sleeping in the store, and being able to indulge her love of reading at the same time. The man who hired her, enamoured of the helpless young girl and her story of being ejected from an overcrowded house due to a poor family, indulged her perhaps more than he should have. He taught Larxene, with the help of some of the shop's catalogue, to control her magical abilities, to focus and train her skill with lightning until she could let it free in concentrated bolts instead of simple sparks.

He also gave her access to whatever books she wanted where torture techniques and sadism were concerned, thinking it an odd hobby, but believing her when she said that she was only interested in what horrific things people have devised to do to other people. In her job, she learned book keeping, and notation, ordering new stock, how to do the paperwork, and the taxes, and everything else required to keep a shop operational.

She was never satisfied with merely running a shop, however. While it allowed her to read about her hobbies, it never allowed her to indulge in them, and after a year, at age seventeen, she was already growing rapidly bored, and growing bored of her employer, too. That was when she first encountered the Organization.

A shady group who recruited those of natural magical ability, Larxene was a prime candidate for their attentions. Supposedly, their goals were mana stones, in the short term, but there were whispers among the trusted members, those who were of a scientific mind, and those who positioned themselves close to the enigmatic Superior, of a bigger goal. The ultimate mana stone, a Heartstone, or in more common rumour a Philosopher's Stone, with power immeasurable, perhaps even limitless.

Larxene never cared. Although the quest for a mana stone interested her, if only to further her own abilities, the babblings of the higher ranked were beyond her interest. Larxene was only looking for somewhere she could let loose and have her own particular brand of fun, and the Organization offered that, within reason.

It was within the Organization that she met Marluxia, and recognising in him the same usefulness to her as the bookshop owner had been previously, she quickly attached herself to him. Unlike the bookshop owner, however, Marluxia managed to keep her interest. She went with him to work with the Organization side-group 'Oblivion'. She was still content to work under Marluxia's command when the suggestion that they attempt to take over the Organization was made, having no qualms about jumping on board.

When their plan to assassinate certain members and destabilise the command of the head of the Organization was uncovered, Larxene fled Kropmork with Marluxia.
