There's this Female Character Flowchart out there that I'm sure most of you have heard of already. If you haven't, let me sum it up for you: basically, all fictional female characters fall into stereotypes and aren't "realistic." Also, this flowchart is done in a way that basically anyone can be crammed into one of their categories, as long as you ( Read more... )

Hee, you cheated? I don't have many icon slots, so if I were to do this meme, I would just go into my photobucket(s) and reproduce one icon for every female character represented there!

I've never seen that before, and I feel infuriated. Lois Griffin=perfect wife? The klepto with a highly addictive personality? Harley Quinn is merely a type? Mom from Futurama? Oh, and Lady MacBeth? All team-women doctors are Crusher and all shrinks are Troi? Seriously? Ugh. You could do this exact same thing with male characters.

That flow-chart is made of stupid, and it fills me with sad.

The idea that male characters are in general better-developed than female characters fills me with such indescribable rage. Because, you know what? No. Dean from Supernatural is not better-developed than every female character ever -- [general] you just like him more, and that's a different thing which says more about you than it does about female characters.

I wish someone would make the "male character flow chart".
