Ood, Take Two

Having mulled a bit, here are some of the things I didn't like about PotD.

This episode was supposed to be set millennia into the future. I didn't complain about this before, because I kept forgetting.

The clothes are the same. The weaponry is the same. The culture is the same. At least give me some lasers, will you? Some glitter on the outfits? Anything at all?

How was it that the Doctor didn't know what the Bountiful Human Empire was built on? This is a pretty major historical fact.

I like that not everyone that Doctor meets is willing to change their views and help him, but it sort of adds to this idea that...people outside the TARDIS aren't much help? That I got from PiC. Maybe it's just me. I do like the Doctor's disgust at people just turning a blind eye.

The Doctor and Donna didn't really do much to affect the plot. Now, usually I'm okay with this. The ending, though, with the Ood saying they would sing of them forever - that would make more sense if they'd actually, you know, helped very much.

The beginning, with the screaming? I really do enjoy Donna's enthusiasm, but that was so painfully overdone.

Last of all, I really didn't mind the giant brain. This is Who, after all. I just want to know how it ate someone.
