Today i went flying, and my landings were bloody good, if i dont say so myself :D however my circuits were not that great, kept forgetting everything! which is completely the opposite of 2 weeks ago where my landings were shite, but circuits good...could be due to changing direction of the circuit: flying the opposite way to usual...stupid brain..
Anyway, London, last week...Kingston Uni was lovely, everyone was really friendly, and the halls of residence are on the campus..quite litrally a 10meter walk to the uni!!! Westminster however was much to be desired for..
I had to queue to get into the place, as everyone had to have an ID card to get in: no id card, no admittance kinda thing. But alot of students cards werent working, and they were missing lectures etc because of this. The queue was going out the door! so i queued for 15mins to get to reception, only to be told to ask the admissions desk about the tour i was spossed to be going on, so went there, they sed to go bak to reception and ask if i could be let in. So...i queued for another 15mins, to be let in and was told to turn right at book shop inside the campus. I did, and gt lost. Trouble was everyone i asked seemed to be foriegn. By this time id been there for 3/4 of an hour!! so was wandering around getting seriously miserable coz no-one knew what i was going on about! finally i cam across some guy who knew where the undergrad office was, it had been moved: that was why no-one knew where it was! so went there and was told to wait while they found someone to show me round...15mins later, i was still there! so i asked again, and they said 'someones just coming!' so i stood around chatting to this girl who was doing business studies in chinese, when eventually 20mins later, someone came and we were shown around!! And i must say, after an hour of hanging around, it was a let down. The rooms were huge admittedly, and it seemed really spcious, but there were partitions, not walls dividng each class room, and...the halls of residence were in the centre of this campus: it was a 15 storey high building!! so.. even tho this is the only uni doing the course i want, i decided i couldt face going to a campus where you couldnt even get out of the damn place without a security card!!
but yeh, that was my day. Phew!
Had a nice evening at our friends house, then came home fri lunch, and drove straight over to bristol that eve to see jezzie :D
But since then ive been working flying etc...
and today its my dad and jimbobsons birthdays! so happy birthday!!
Ooooo! and also, Batman Begins, is an excellant film! watched it today, and i seriously recommend it to everyone!
Toodles x
