(no subject)
my first entry as a citizen!
so yesterday, we went to morristown to get my citizenship. my dad had all the forms filled out and sorted and in files, being the neat freak he is. we waited in line for a little while, and then it was our turn. i went before Doron. since im 14 and above (well im 15), i dont actually need both parents present, but he does. so i answer like two questions the lady had about whether i was planning on going on a trip soon, and i told her about my trip to israel. im not really sure she cared about all the details, but she got them whether she wanted to or not. i was nervous and i wasnt thinking straight. i dont even know why i was nervous, but i just was. so then my dad and i had to sign. and she stressed that i should sign in cursive, not print. i was thinking, fine lady, whatever, i get it. so my dad signs and then i sign. but guess what i did? i signed TALI. in cursive, but still. i don't think i have ever signed ANYTHING, EVER, as revital. so the lady thought i was like faking my identity or w/e. finally we managed to convince the lady that i was who i claimed i am. and then i signed revital above the tali.
i was thinking, what kind of a stupid ass nickname is Tali. seriously. if we wanted to make it easier on the americans, wouldnt it have been smarter to make an american name, not Tali? like rebecca or something, after my middle name. im just thinking about how stupid that was. VERY stupid. w/e, too late. im not much of a rebecca anyways.
