Easy peasy. We need to host it on the net, y'see.

So head of to Imageshack and click the "Browse" button. Find where the pic is located on your PC and click the "Host It" button. After a minute, it will show a small preview pic and lots of text boxes. The one we're after is the bottom one that says "Direct link to image".

Copy and paste the contents of that box. So in my case I upload an image from my old camera file and it said http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/8525/dscf00379la.jpg

So back in LiveJournal, you need to type this:
