I wanna just dance on a subway train instead uh oh there was a monster in my bed
Okay. So recently:
-I've turned 23. I don't really feel any different, but I have been referring to myself as 23 for the past few months by accident.
-I've helped plan Ali's Bridal Shower with Louise. It was held around a week ago at Ali's parents' house. We came in a few hours early with bags of decorations and food and were running around the entire party like headless chickens trying to get everything sorted. Eventually we did. Yay! It wasn't until I got home that I remembered I was sick and completely collapsed on the couch. The next few days were kind of rough on me as I had to take some days off work in order to keep my gross mucus coughs and dizzy spells at home. The good news is that I've only coughed around twice today and I haven't been dizzy and nauseous for over three days! I'm beginning to recover!
-My aunt Tricia in Brazil had her first baby named Eduardo. It's very cute. :) Mum is having a good time over there.
-I've been an unappreciated 50s housewife. Since mum is in Brazil, dad expects me to do pretty much everything around here. Before I used to share the housework with mum, but I never realised just how much she does around here and how little dad does to help. He went off at me the other day for not taking out the rubbish the night before. I told him that I'd been cooking every day, doing the dishes three times a day, vacuuming the house and washing the clothes, and taking out the rubbish every single day. And this ONE TIME that I don't do it, he gets mad. He said "IT ONLY TAKES TEN SECONDS" and I said "Exactly! Why can't YOU do it!?" and he goes off at me about how he's working every single day and is too tired and that I better respect him. I then tuned out as he went into another one of his angry shouty rants about how I never do anything and that I'm ungrateful and lazy.
-Ben's helped me change Windows Vista to Windows Seven. FUCK YES. I can't tell you how much I love Windows Seven. It does things when I tell it to. When I click something, it opens up immediately. It doesn't freeze all the time. If I could somehow make love to Windows Seven, I would. THANK YOU BEN!!!
-I've been put on this extensive job-search thing for Centrelink and I have to fill out all these forms about how many hours of work I'm doing. They're really, really annoying. I have an appointment with them tomorrow.
-I've gotten a month's gym membership courtesy of my awesome friends Ali, Louise and Brittany (THANK YOOOUU)!! I'll put a bit of money aside each week so that the end of the month I can upgrade to a three month membership. That's just enough time to get into shape for Thailand and Ali's Wedding! :D
-The newest episode of True Blood is up and GOD I love this season already. BILL AND SAM SLASH FOR THE WIN! Just don't let him wake up next time, kay? ;)
