I HATE being sick. I'm lucky that I only ever get sick once every couple of months, but when I get sick it SUCKS. I have a tendency to get spells of dizziness when I'm sick, and when I get like that it's literally unsafe for me to drive. It's basically on par with asking somebody to drive when they're drunk.
I remember the first time I drove when I was sick. I had been sleeping for most of the day and didn't feel dizzy when I walked, so I figured I was almost back to normal. I felt like a chocolate scone from Baker's Delight, which I hadn't had in ages, and I happened to have a ten dollar note in my pocket which would be more than enough. It's only a five minute drive from my place and I had been cooped up inside all day, so I figured I'd drive there and treat myself. Only half-way there, my head started pounding again and I felt dizzy. All of a sudden I was like OH FUCK THIS ISN'T GOOD. I stopped my car on the side of the road straight away. Then around ten minutes later when I felt up to it, I did a U-turn and drove home, and fell straight back into bed when I did. I didn't get those damn scones for another two days or so.
I've spent most of my weekend sleeping, blowing my nose and putting ice on my forhead to stop it hurting like crazy. I still feel shitty today (albeit not as shitty as yesterday) but I need money so I went to work. Although I was well enough to drive to work, I regretted agreeing to work today instantly. My head was pounding, my voice sounded like shit and I kept having to blow my nose. I felt half asleep the entire time and I kept making simple mistakes like typing numbers wrong and trying to process DVDs on the wrong screens.
Now as the night progressed I was blowing my nose less and coughing more, which I suppose is some kind of progress even though I really REALLY hate coughing. Now all I'm bloody doing is coughing. I just hope I'll be better tomorrow.
I want to sleep.
In other news, disneylicious.com posted up a bunch of behind-the-scenes videos on The Princess and The Frog, which I'm totally excited about. ^_^
In a way that also sucks too, seeing as most of the things I'm anticipating this year revolve around movies.
