FLYING MAN!

So it's official, I'm hooked on Heroes. Like, actually hooked. As in I've got withdrawal symptoms when I'm not watching it. I haven't watched it in two days and half the time I was feeling anxious. I've been youtubing interviews and behind the scenes stuff with the cast, and trying to find out when the season three DVD comes out. My sketchbook has all sorts of crazy Heroes-related doodles. Eeeargh!

I'm actually feeling pretty good about it today, though. Maybe it's because I've come home from a a bodystep class.

I need to give Heroes a rest and get my brain back, which is why I haven't started watching season two right away. I've just finished season one, and I'm limiting myself to hiring one disc of season 2 in a week. Seeing as it's a two night new release, and presuming it has four episodes on the disc, this means a maximum of two episodes a day, and I'm not allowed to hire another disc for a full week after watching the last one. This would be so much more helpful if the DVDs were weeklies. Unfortunately they're still two-nighters, so I can't limit myself to two episodes a week like I'd like to do.

Ugh.

This is why I didn't start watching Dexter. Because I suspected I'd get hooked. Chloe's hooked on Dexter now.

It's been a long time since I've been hooked on a show. I remember season one of Doctor Who, where I'd be anticipating the episode all week, and even to an extent season two. I got pretty hooked like this the first time I saw Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. I went and saw it five times. That's the most I've ever seen something in the cinemas. If you find my sketchbooks from 2003, half the stuff in there is pirate related.

I've found that alot of the time when I get addicted to some form of show or series, about 80% of the reason is to do with the characters. I loved Christopher Eccleston's Doctor Who, and I loved Rose. I love their relationship. I love Jack Sparrow, Barbossa, and those two silly guards from Pirates. Initially, it was something Elizabeth said in the trailer that actually made me want to go see it. "You like pain? Try wearing a corset!" (Keeping in mind I was sixteen) In Heroes, I love Claire, Claire's dad, Ando and Hiro. Especially Ando and Hiro. I just hope it doesn't start turning crap like Doctor Who (KEEPING IN MIND I HAVEN'T SEEN HEROES SERIES TWO YET, DON'T TELL ME ANYTHING EVEN IF THE PLOT GETS CRAP AND THE SHOW STARTS TO SUCK)

Olivia's like that with Twilight. She's seen it eight times, and the rest of the time she's wanting to watch something with Robert Pattison in it. A couple of shifts ago we put on Goblet of Fire so she could satisfy her Pattison fix. :)

addicted, tv, heroes, olivia
