Summer
The night before last night was really fun. We all met at the Griffin's Head for Happy Hour and then went to Shotz for a few hours and danced the night away. Woo! I requested 'Can't touch this' and Jade requested 'Blame it on the Boogie'. Yay! The funny thing about Blame it on the Boogie is that whenever Lou and I start doing our stupid moves (mimicking sunshine, moonlight, good times and boogie) people around us start copying us. It was really funny. Also Ben, Jiffy, Steve and Jamie were all dancing. Woo! And you know what song really goes off on the dance floor? That's Not My Name by the Ting Tings. I've never heard that one at a club before and it was awesome. Also they played Fuck The Pain Away by Peaches. Yay for that. Steven is an awesome dancer. I'm gonna miss Lou but I've promised to send her at least an email a week and keep updating facebook.
Yesterday was heaps of fun too. Jade and I went to the beach! Yay! I'm so glad to have seen her and I think she's doing alright at the moment. I brought an empty ice-cream container and we used it to make a sandcastle. That took us a little while. It had a moat and everything. Although every time we tried to put water in the moat it just absorbed into the ground. And we were like NOOOOOO. Then we went swimming and floated around the waves for around an hour and then drove around in search of chips because the nearest eating place was closed for some crazy reason. As soon as you finish swimming you want chips! Normally it's Fish and Chips but since it's Jade it's just chips. Do those people even KNOW what kind of business they're losing by closing down just because it's Sunday? Those crazy people. So we ended up in Glenelg and went walking for a while, ate chips on the grass by the bay and got ice cream. I got this epic icecream from Copenhagen with whipped cream on top and UUGH IT WAS AWESOME and Jade found this yummy vegan ice-cream from this shop in Jetty Road which she ate with her student card, seeing as she didn't want to buy a spoon. Then we went home. Fun day. :D
I'm feeling so zen right now that even my potentially $600 computer repair isn't phasing me because I know the universe will set things right eventually. I also woke up about ten minutes ago and saw on my calendar that I'm working in about an hour, and went OH SHIT because I told my mum she could take my car to work. So that means I'll have to catch the bus. No biggie, seeing as I'm so zen right now. I think the last time I was this zen was on camp when I was outside looking at the ocean at night.
Oh, and I had the weirdest dream last night where I was working and got a call from The Nostalgia Critic from thatguywiththeglasses.com who said he fancied me and wanted to go out on a date. And then I was like "Sweet, I fancy you too!" and then I was like "Oh shit I'm not supposed to be talking on the phone at work" and had to answer questions from nosy people who kept asking what the call was about. Then I woke up and was like "...odd..."
