Ah McCain you've done it again
Lately I've been hooked on checking the polls for the American election. I'm still worried that McCain and Palin might win. Barbara has her money on McCain. She reckons that if people were stupid enough to vote for Bush then they'd be stupid enough to vote for McCain.
I'm teaching myself to hope. Obama is slightly ahead in the polls. The weird thing is I'm also worried that if Obama wins, he'll be assassinated by some white supremacist. There was already an attempt on his life a few months ago by a group of Neo Nazis.
I'm pretty sure no Aussie Prime Ministers have been assassinated. Can you imagine how huge that would be if something like that actually happened here? I doubt some random farmer or anyone else who lives in the country and has a gun permit could be bothered travelling all the way to some big speech in Parliament House in order to shoot Kevin Rudd.
But I suppose if you were a crazy murderous nutjob you wouldn't have a gun permit, you'd probably have gotten it off the black market or had it smuggled or something. Or maybe stolen it from a cop? I mean how the heck do criminals even manage to find them?
