We had an entire four days off last weekend for 4th of July, so I made the best of it: Thursday night Frank and James both had a Whiskey Bar happy hour, so from 7 to 9 a bunch of us got real drunk real quick for a mere dollar a beverage. I ran into one of my professors there and got on her case about my unjust C in her class the prior semester. After a long talk she seemed to warm up to the idea of changing my grade, so we'll see how that goes. Ah, the power of alcohol! The night didn't end there though, because Thursday nights also means half price drinks at Scotland Yard from 9 on, which is a mere few blocks away from Whiskey Bar. Needless to say we were all pretty damn drunk before the night was through. Oh yeah, Liz and Testa held hands back at the house - it was so cute.

I slept in and lounged around the house most of Friday, that is until Testa and Liz got back from work. From there we headed to Dave & Busters, which is over at the Palisades Mall. Testa was driving, so of course we got real lost on the way there and didn't actually get there until around 8 at night. We were so hungry at that point that once the food finally got to us we devoured it! Tommy and I had both used our game tickets from D&B to buy these little snapping chimps on a stick and effectively annoyed the hell out of Liz and Testa the entire trip back. At least Tommy and I were entertained.

Testa, Liz, Todd, Claire, and I all drove down to Staten Island on Saturday to visit Frank on his boat. Other people joined us there, including James and some guys from TX, after which we quickly got our festivities on the way. We got a little adventurous at night and decided to take the boat out for a bit. Before we even realized it though, Frank had accidentally grounded his bottom fin into the ground and blew out his engine trying to get out. A few boats tried helping us out, but we quickly realized that we would just have to wait it out overnight. Since the tide lowers at night our boat started tilting more and more, until it reached about a 45 degree angle - walking downstairs in the cabin area was like going through a funhouse. So here we are stranded on a lopsided boat right by the dock entrance, with lots of alcohol and our own ridiculous personalities to keep us busy. Needless to say we all got real drunk and ended up having a great time. We took lots of ridiculous pictures, Frank relieved himself off the side of the boat, my room got covered in engine smoke while I was trying to sleep, and Natalia got sea sick on to the side of the boat along with Frank's sweater. Once the tide came back up and Frank effectively smoked me out of my room we headed back to the docking area. Natalia, Bill, and his friend went back to shore while the rest of us tried getting some sleep. After I woke Testa and Liz up with a fog horn in the morning we headed back and left Frank to his dying boat, which his dad was quite pissed about. He's been fixing it up though, so no worries.

Once 4th of July came around I went with Testa and Tommy to the lookout point at our school and watched the fireworks over the city. Nothing too special that day - but still, it was quite the weekend. Tonight I'm starting my summer class, which will be every Tuesday and Thursday, 6-9. Yeah, it sucks ass, I know. I don't think the teacher will be keeping us there the entire time though, so I'm not too worried. Besides, half priced drinks once again tonight at Scotland Yard! Holler!
