(no subject)
This is an odd semester.
I'm probably doing the best academically I have ever done in my LIFE. I attribute this boost in grades to A) not being a freaking RA anymore B) getting the hell out of the dorms and C) being slacktacular and only having 13 credits currently.
I went back to illwater for the first time since I moved into my apartment in August and the rumors are true, there WILL be a CHIPOTLE in by the new kohls/pier 1 etc. development as well as a Ruby Tuesdays...interesting. My dad made me his famous chili that I did indeed have for breakfast this morning, yes that's right, breakfast.
This week is homecoming and naturally there is drinking chaos everywhere...cool...
The only event I chose to join in was the Drag show which was unbelievably fun and I have a huge want to go to more in the future. They had both professionals from Minneapolis and Milwaukee as well as amateurs from our own campus. I believe i'm going to another pro-show on halloween titled 'dungeons and drag queens' so it's bound to be a good time, although I believe it's 21+ i've found a way to get in, so it's all good.
I've become addicted to the nerdiest game on yahoo! alchemy. *to understand why i say nerdiest, go play it once.
I've been avidly playing my guitar again which makes me very happy, and can now play 4 songs in their entirety, as well as working on writing some of my own.
Rallying with the college dems was quite fun and we gained 79 new voters on campus on Tuesday, hopefully they will continue the process and help us with our quest for Kerry. I talked with the Governor of Wisconsin on Wednesday and he's actually a really freaking awesome human being.
