(no subject)
thanksgiving recap: it was good. see yahoo photos for more detail haha...from meeting with Kate and discussing the Katie Realist Doctrine and the Kate Way of Doing Things, to bonfiring in the 16 degree weather, to eating some damn good food, to having a blast with family, to playing a crazy movie trivia game at marty's with a bunch of people, to seeing my wife, to not getting enough sleep...all in all, a very fun time.
came back saturday afternoon to find my room was spotless...apparently my roommate had cleaned like crazy before leaving (i.e. vacuumed)...also found a note from him on my desk saying that his grandfather had passed away in Pakistan, and that he and his family were going to be there until next sunday...which honestly left me really bummed. i mean having the room to myself is nice, but i was kinda really looking forward to seeing him and just hanging out with him...i guess i didn't realize how close we've gotten.
worked a lot on a paper i have due friday...and then last night i hung out with katie for the first time in a long time...and it was a blast. it felt so much more like last year, which hasn't happened in i don't know how long, so that was really cool.
today i skipped my first class and fell asleep for almost all of my second...darn. went to work, and it was pretty quiet...except i went to the second floor of the building to see the new rec room (they recently put in a pool table and ping pong table)...and what do i find but a plastic bin with a bunch of really nice beers sitting in what used to be ice a while back, but had turned into a 5 inch deep puddle. i asked the dude in charge of shipping about them and he said there was a thanksgiving lunch last week and that they must have left the beers up there...and then he was like, just take some home with you, they'll probably spoil up there. sooo...i brought back three.
but the best part of the day was coming back to my room and checking my e-mail to find the grade distribution for my econ midterm...i had gotten it back yesterday and my raw score was a 69. which made me none to happy because i studied like hell for it. but the mean for my section was a 53 so i was hoping the mean for the class would be low too...it ended up being a 52, and the distribution leaves me with some type of A. SO happy about that....but at the same time, why make such a ridiculously hard test? stupid weed out class.
anyway, i was thrilled and i've decided to celebrate by watching chappelle...(cue tran: "it's a celebration, bitches")
