the perils of being a vet tech
The funniest thing happened at work yesterday...it had me laughing so hard!
Two tiny and very sweet tempered chihuahuas came in for an appt with the dr followed by baths. The bather girl was busy so once they were done in the exam room Jesse and I carried them back to the grooming area to put them in a cage together. As Jesse carried the brindle one, it heard all the other dogs barking, and became quite nervous and started to poop while trying to climb on Jesse's shoulder. Jess was trying his best to hold the dog so the poop wouldn't go all over, and then get the dog into the cage. Meanwhile I put the other one in the cage and started to clean up the mess from the floor. Then the scared one pooped again in the cage, so I cleaned that up while Jess tried to keep the two of them from stepping in it. Jess thought he felt something on his ear, and feared it was poop, but it was only slobber, lol. It was like a comedy of errors.
About ten minutes later after we had left the grooming area, I was working in the lab area and turned around to notice a small poop turd on the floor. Jess was standing next to it just looking at it. So I asked, "where did that come from?" And Jess replied, "from my pocket!" He had unknowingly put his hand in his scrub top front pocket and flung it out onto floor and then realized what it was. I think he was a bit shocked!! Hahaha, I couldn't help but laugh so hard. It was great especially since I was in need of a good laugh at the time. ;-)
