As promised, I deliver
So I haven't written in LJ since I returned from Thanksgiving?
I survived my last three weeks. I went on a retreat for Social Justice and Faith, and it was wonderful.
I confronted a roommate about some "conservative preconceptions" he still holds and how a comment he made my first week at Xavier (as a freshman) seriously affected me and our relationship - we are now closer and all the better for that conversation.
I wrote a paper in Spanish about Jose Marti, and one for philosophy about Tocqueville and Marx and the French Revolution - I'm very proud of both.

That last weekend was very hard, because I had to say goodbye to everyone, yet I was still there. There was much feeling sad and gloomy. But what's the deal, I'll be back in 3 months! Honestly: ed = emotional.
But I'm better now that I'm back somewhere stable, in Cleveland. I look forward to seeing everyone. I want to watch the Sunday in the Park with George DVD whenever it comes out (Katie and Andrew!), and I need to get some Christmas shopping done... as if I haven't had time. Just hasn't gotten done.
As for boys, I've given up. I'm here for 3 weeks. Then Cinci for 1 week. Then Managua, Nicaragua, for 3 months. Then Cinci for 2 or 4 weeks. Then Cleveland for a month (June). Then Paris for a month and some (July - August), then Cleveland for a week, then Cinci for the beginning of my last year at Xavier.
There is no time for boys. Even though I have a potential three dates while home - but I need to see my real friends first and most often!
Oh! I also got my haircut today. Roger, do you still have that photo of my hair from yesterday? Because, if you do, be a dear and post it for all to see. It's considerably shorter now, not flowing past my shoulders, but it's still rather fun. Mullet-esque, if you will. And if you won't, it's no big deal, because it's not really a mullet at all.
So, there you have it. I must be off to get cozy and read HP6, because I haven't yet.
OH! DANIELLE! CHECK IT! I HAVE VH1 CLASSIC AT MY HOUSE! I'M SO PUMPED I'M TYPING IN ALL CAPS! OMG I'M SO EXCITED!
