There's a spiderweb in the corner of the office window (on the outside).
A bee had the misfortune of being caught in it.
A giant spider sprinted over and waited to see if he was ready to be consumed.
But the bee was not done; he was not going to give up.
One string from the web was attached around the bee's abdomen. When he tried to scale the side of the window to escape thie doom, he could go only about half way up before being pulled back down.
Everytime he fell back down, the spider sprinted over to see if he was ready to give up yet.
Not this bee.
He kept struggling, kept getting only halfway up then falling right back down.
Finally, he began to scale the opposite side of the window that I cannot see, and I do not know where he is but I have not seen him in 10 minutes.
Nature is amazing. I thnk we can all learn a lot from it.
Spiders, although I am a smidge arachnophobic, are nature's artists. Their webs are nothing short of masterpieces and the way they catch and eat is truely an artform in itself.
I implore each of you to take a minute to watch a spider weave its web- which when you think about it is its kitchen- take so much time on something that will be torn apart when he eats. And watch him catch something, be so patient as he waits hours on end for his prey to tire itself out so he doesn't have to exert so much energy, because the web alone took up much of his energy.
Nature is amazing.
Yeah I'm a tree-hugger. I'm over it and you should be too.
