(no subject)
Not much tonite. It was a good week, tho. Ma got a job FINALLY. so things are getting back to normal in the life of ashley. or will be in a few short months. Looks like I'll even be able to take a vaca to Nashville in February/March when the baby's born! wOOT! This week I spent a lot of time hanging out with angel. as usual. she's fun. i like 'er. she can stay. ;) other than that just work stuff. oh yeah. speaking of work stuff, i didn't get the art director job. i'm bummed. *shrug* but apparently it wasn't the job for me, or i'da got it. at least i got the interview. it was a nice confidence booster, esp given that i work for the catholic church paper that looks like crap. :/
speaking of churches. it seems that we found one to go to here. It's a presbyterian church, which is a little dif than i'm used to, but still same god. and this one is on the more liberal side of religion. pastor guy says he won't preach against being gay. but as a whole, the presbytery denomination believes one mane, one woman kinda deal. and really, we've been hard pressed to find a church that's the size we want that thinks gay marriage is okay. i'm willing to concede the marriage thing, if they won't say gay people are wrong.
other than that, nada. went for a hikeish sorta thing today along the river. that was nice. will be nicer in like two weeks when there's more fall colors. but the weather was great for the walk. not higher than like 60 methinks. oh yeah. and it looks as tho yours truly will be getting her license before the month is up. bleck. but court is flying to chicago next month and i'll have to do the driving angel to school thing before i go to work. :p yes. i'm sticking my tongue out at driving.
