OP here - I love this and what a great insert into the 'Red Headed League' (which I just finished re-reading a couple of days ago!!). Just lovely and sweet. I adored the awkwardness and clumsiness of their height difference and the determination of Holmes to keep dancing. Thank you!

It may be that I am a fast learner, although I sincerely doubt that. No, I believe that it was the perfect harmony of our bodies; Holmes's natural grace tempered with my own strong military bearing. Whatever the reason may be, I found myself gradually able to step off his feet. It seemed to be the most natural thing ever then for us to shift our stance, and for me to take the lead ( ... )

Um, wow. I love everything about this! The fur coat deduction, plan B, Holmes' favorite violinist, backstage, on the feet! So wonderful! I typically hate first-person in fanfiction, but you've done it wonderfully! Thank you!
