Wow, almost two months since my last update!
Work has been crazy busy. I really enjoy it, for the most part. It's such a nice change from the places I've worked at over the past 1-2 years (the last time I really remember being at all busy was the first half of my time at Bantrel). I just wish my coworkers wouldn't get so stressed. It is busy, and everyone's working O/T, but for the most part, we're making deadlines, or very close to it. Yet everyone's freaking out, snapping at each other, crying, etc. I think it's all a bit much, really. At Bantrel, there were times we had to work until 10pm just to "catch up" to only being a week behind. In comparison, we're not doing too bad. This morning, I asked Cherie if she could check her email to see if an order was cancelled, and she started crying and went for two back-to-back smoke breaks. Umm, stress management??
Anyway, it's not all that bad, and the 'warden' has allowed music to be played in the dungeon, so hopefully people start smartening up soon and cheer up. :P
I've started working on another poster for a Walterdale play Justen will be directing in February, titled Beautiful Thing. This year has been kind to me with design/photo projects! Oh, and, what a small world: it turns out my new roommate's brother was a guy I went to U of A with! He has a cookbook release tomorrow, which I might check out after work with Yvonne.
I've been casually dating a guy I met two months ago, Clem. He's nice. As I've said before, I'm still not looking for anything serious, and I've made that clear to him. We get along and have a lot of fun, but I worry that he's looking/waiting for something more serious than I want. I've brought this up and he's insistant that he's happy with things as they are, so... I'm just going to enjoy it for the time being! I do enjoy his company, so that's the main thing right now.
I can't remember if I mentioned, but I asked my parents if they wanted to spend Christmas in Edmonton this year, and they seemed keen on the idea! I wasn't sure if they would be, but I thought it'd be nice, since Dylan, Tasha and I are now in Edmonton, Dad and Ling have a condo in my building, and Tony and Sheridan are closer to Edmonton than Ft Mac (Bonnyville and St. Paul, respectively). I'm quite excited for it! Now I have to go buy a Christmas tree.
Anyway, lunch break is over, time to go back to work!
