Long weekend
I've been enjoying my weekend in Fort McMurray so far. Dylan and Tasha gave me two DVDs plus a ticket to see Tom Petty in the summer. My dad gave me this gorgeous $20 coin from the Royal Canadian Mint. My mom said she's going to give me my gift later this evening when we have supper together. I gave my mom a digital camera for her birthday and she's been showing it off to everyone. :)
Last night I went to see Grease at Keyano. They had a slow start (the timing with the dialogue, etc) but before the intermission, something happened where the tempo picked up, and the whole production became a lot stronger. It ended up being very well done! I was very impressed with Sonny - according to the programme, he just became a Canadian citizen four months ago, did not speak a word of English, and is legally deaf. You would not have had the faintest idea while watching him onstage. I was very impressed with him and Kinicky in particular, and Rizzo.
Dad and I stayed up last night drinking wine and chatting. I woke up not too long ago, looked around, and I don't think he's home. Hmm... oh well, I'll just laze around for a while. :)
