Road trip!
I read on Renee's LJ that June's mom passed away this weekend of a heart attack. Her dad passed away just a couple years ago also of a heart attack while at work. I haven't talked to June in ten years, but I feel really bad. I spent a lot of time at her house during childhood. My thoughts are with her.

My weekend was a lot of fun, and quite busy. Friday, I went to Pat and Tanya's for a while to watch Sailormoon. Then I went to a pot-luck at Kyla and Allan's (where Laura and Lia live). I brought chocolate covered cheesecake bites, sooo good, and vanilla cupcakes. We brought the latter to the guy working the night shift at Wee Book Inn like the keeners that we are, hehe. After, we went to Tim Horton's and through a collaborate effort filled out an application form. Allan is now known as Allan X-treme!!! F., and was a porn star from the ages of 0-5 working for Louis "Big Daddy" Cumstrong. Pure hilarity ensued, let me tell you.
Saturday, Sheridan and his family came into town for another Oilers exhibition game so I saw them briefly before heading to another pot-luck, for Nancy's birthday. We played board games, always fun!
My ad for a roommate started its run in the Journal this weekend and I've had quite a large response--albeit, all but three were men responding to an ad that specified, "females preferred." I held a few interviews, was asked on a few dates by 40- and 50-year-old men, and finally found a younger girl who was really sweet, sensible, and had the kitty stamp of approval: Phoebe came to her! (Pepper doesn't count, he'd look to anything for attention.) That's quite unusual for Phoebe, as she's quite shy. The girl's name is Jen and she'll be moving in on Friday.
Still looking around for new jobs. Still frustrated at my current one. Today was a good day though: lead called in sick, hahaha.
I thought I had more to talk about... but I forgot. Oh well!
Next week insists of:
+ Wednesday: Black Eyed Peas concert with my brother and company
+ Thursday: Pat's coming down for an appointment about his knee; first game between Oilers and Flames!
+ Friday: ROAD TRIP!!!; Trailer Park Boys Movie opens (never thought I'd like that show but André was a huge fan of it and I got into it through him)
Anyway, it's laundry time!
