Scattered thoughts

I've uploaded a few pictures from the folk festival on my flickr page but alas, I reached my monthly limit so I didn't get all of them up there yet.

Currently talking to Victoria on MSN. She's currently undergoing chemotherapy for cancer she once beat but returned (cervic). :( I didn't even know she had it to begin with. And here I am complaining about my progress playing Mario Bros. I think she's entertained though, I'm trying to keep her spirits up. I wish there was more I could do.

Last weekend Gary and I hung out for an afternoon between performances at the folk festival, and I said we should go camping. The next day, he asked me if I want to go to Radium with him, his brother Glen and Glen's girlfriend. I had never even heard of Ranium until this week, and now I've been hearing other people talk about it.

It was all dependent on money, and then I got two re-issued cheques that was previously stale-dated in the mail today! I literally had $0.07 to my name, and then BAM, a bit of money. I get paid on Thursday which'll be nice with the tiny bit of overtime I did (five hours... not much, but it's a little something). August is a good month because we get paid three times; I received aforementioned stale cheques; I'm going to finally get off my butt and file two years' worth of taxes; I might have my sister-in-law's brother lined up as a roommate in the next month! Let's keep our fingers crossed! Even if I later decide to move to Calgary, I'd be just as happy to keep my place here and rent it out, so it'll be nice if Michael works out. Me and him went to elementary school together, ESC-Grade 4 (not that I really remember, but it's still a neat thought).

Anyone happen to be going down to Calgary Thursday night or Friday morning/afternoon? (Victoria said she might be trying to get to Calgary as well, not sure if that's set in stone or not.) I'm off Fri-Mon again, so I'm going to head down to Calgary again and go to Ranium from there. I'm excited! I think this camping trip is going to be a lot of fun. I miss being around Newfie accents.

I've been biting my nails again. Boourns.

So I'm on World 7 in Mario 3 (well, my brother and his family got there while they stayed at my place today and left the console on)... it's hard and I'd like to watch TV, but I just can't bring myself to turn off the bloody thing without a damn good fight!

But first--I need sleep. Talk about a deprived week. I might even go to bed soon. Good night folks.
