So as
adams_eve mentioned in her last entry, Laura and I watched Flatliners on Friday. It was a good movie! It seemed like one of those underrated sort of movies. There was some pretty heavy suspense and theories to the movie, and you should've seen how scared Laura and I were! We were cuddled onto her couch with the lights off, screaming at the scary parts and screaming even louder at the parts with needles (heh). Whenever we'd hear noises in her apartment or the hallway, we panicked. Laura said she could hear my heart racing! Hahaha... anyway, good movie, I definitely enjoyed it. The basic idea of it is people cheating death and living with the consequences.
Saturday, Adam, Rosemary and I decided to "relive childhood" and hang out at the Space and Science Centre, after a visit to the Farmer's Market and Antique Mall. We caught the IMAX film
Greece: Secrets of the Past which was interesting (made me want to go to look through my Art History 101 book again, as well as travel). Then we saw a very cheesy laser show called "Sentimental Journey". It was my first time seeing a laser show so it was pretty neat. I'd love to see a concert there sometime. When we arrived, there was a wedding. Someone asked one of the people at the wedding as they were leaving if there were lasers while they were saying their vows. XD Apparently it was just made to look like it was snowing which seems kind of neat -- although not a place I would want to have my own wedding, I'm sure.
We went back to Rosemary's to make a layered dip and then watched L.A. Story with Steve Martin which I really enjoyed. Afterwards we went for coffee with Rose's sister Katy on the north end, and then I ended the night with Kyla at Allan and Ben's place to watch Along Came Polly. Kyla and I took a cab home and the cab driver was a Monty Python fan! That was so much fun, spouting off quotes with him. When we got back, Kyla and I chatted until about 3am, and I think I stayed awake until 4am. I was still waking up early like yesterday for some reason. In fact, I think it was the exact same time: 7:07am. I tried to go back to sleep; woke up at 8am. Tried to sleep again; finally got up at 9am. I went on Kyla's computer for a bit, then took a shower in the freaky ass shower of doom, and now I'm here to tell the tale (on Kyla's computer). Seriously, I was getting used to the shower but it was way worse today. The water goes from normal to scalding every so often, but this morning it was literally happening a few times a minute.
Adam's in the shower now, and Kyla's still sleeping. La la la. I feel like such an imposter heh. I was hoping to hang out for a bit here this morning and work on my bookmark, since for some reason I hate working in my own house. Maybe Adam wouldn't mind the company, although he'll probably want his place free of imposters after Kyla leaves for her aunt's at noon. ^0^
I'm hungry. My right foot's asleep. Maybe I shouldn't sit on it. Ahh, there we go. I want to go down to the Second Cup by Churchill. If I leave or get kicked out, maybe that's where I'll go to get some work done.
Next weekend I anticipate to be in Fort McMurray. I'm hoping to catch the Thursday evening bus as I was asked to spend Friday at Heritage Park for some meetings. Friday night and Saturday are still open for plans, so for those in Ft Mac: get in touch with me or I'll get in touch with you.
I'm going to go pull out ye olde sketchbook now. Cheers.
