Merry Christmas

Dec 26, 2005 18:22

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! I still have a few gifts for people, as well as cards. Heh, whoops.

I got into Fort McMurray Wednesday morning around 6am, had some toast, then went to Santa's Anonymous around 7:30am. Andre was very proud of the way he stacked the canned goods, ha ha. A few of us were overtired and in pain (Mike Espejo, Chris Amyot and I: Team Old!), and we were so hyper as a result. Family Guy quotes were plentiful. I found out that the classic "Family Guy falls" are a total of three frames, heh. We made fun of the DJs as well for playing the "bottom 100 of the 80s" as we called it. Andre wore a bright green shirt and his orange hat ha ha... gotta love that kid's style. It was weird to see so many new faces though, Andre and I were the only two from our grade and not that many others our age were there.

Friday, a few of us talked about going to BPs and the plans were tentatively made, but of course it wouldn't be a gathering without Andrew conveniently making plans of his own at the same time. So the boys went to the new BPs and the girls went to the old one. The girls were Cindy, Sandy, Leslie, Soo and I, and after snacks we picked Catherine up from work and hung out at her place (where we had a brief chat with Mom and Dad O'Hanley - I had such trouble addressing their Christmas card, Mr and Mrs is way too formal, hehe). We played board games and such. Fun! I also received a few gifts, including: a bottle of Australian Shiraz from Soo; Bridget Jones's Diary from Cindy; a card from Sandy; and plans to go shopping for a shirt for myself a la Catherine, heh.

Saturday a few of us went for brunch at Tony Roma's, and then I hung out at home for a bit until I finally decided that, being Christmas Eve, I needed to finish my Christmas shopping. *blush* Actually, it was only like three more gifts... aheh... Justen dropped by with a gift: a Lucy Van Pelt doll! I love it, thanks Justen!

My friends from Bonnyville were up the weekend but unfortunately we never caught each other. :( Kenneth lives here though and I have his cell number, but for some reason I feel shy seeing if he wants to go for coffee. I don't know his work schedule either, I know he does shift work. I'm still here for another week though, so who knows. Maybe I'll wait a day or two and give him a shout.

My family came in late Saturday evening and we went to visit some aunt's and uncle's, a tradition I've always enjoyed doing. We came home to a crazy amount of gifts under the tree, although someone forgot to bring Santa gifts for the kids. -_- Oh wells, they're all having like five Christmases, including one before they came up, so they've had Santa gifts already. I guess they had stockings too which are supposed to be from Santa. My stocking had some Body Shop oils in it, including a tree tree oil for my recent outbreak of acne (booooo). Dylan and Tasha spoiled me with a beautiful Bulova watch that has Swarovsky(?) crystals inside and around it. Dad gave me a new Canon photo printer; Tony gave me Johnny Cash DVDs and a CD, as well as a couple other movies; Sheridan and Terril gave me another Friends DVD set and more movies; Mom got me a lot of nice clothes and lotions; Dad also gave me Cinderella; and there were different knick knacks from other relatives here and in Newfoundland. It was a pretty good haul, I must say.

After opening gifts and having brunch on Sunday (Christmas), Uncle Dennis and his family came by and I asked if I could visit people with them, as I knew my family just wanted to stay home which is fine. So I saw everyone else Christmas day, then had Christmas dinner and then stayed up all hours of the night playing 31 at Aunt Steph's. Andrea stopped by at my Aunt Steph's with a card and a huge platter of cookies her mom made for me. Mmm! They look so perfect, and they taste great. She stayed and chatted for a bit before leaving. I played another round of 31 and then took a nap shortly after. Sheridan took a terrible ID photo of me on his cell phone once I fell asleep. *shakes fist*

Now it's Boxing Day and I'm super lazy. I showered and got back into my pyjamas! I called Soo and we might be going for coffee or something this evening after she has dinner. I'm chatting with my neice on MSN right now, she's in Newfoundland with her mom (the rest of the kids were up here).

Oh oh oh! Last night, super excited: my first ever definite lucid dream! Total control and everything, it was amazing! It was also one of my first *ahem* sex dreams as I really don't have them often at all. It was at work with a co-worker (but the office looked different - it amused me that it was in the office though never-the-less). *blush* In fact, when I realised that I had control of my dream, one of the things I thought was something to the effect of, "Hey, if this is a dream, I can do whatever I want! Screw being shy, I'm going to have sex with him!" Hahaha... seriously funny. Anyway, I was surprised since like I mentioned before, I've still been bad for writing them down but I've been thinking and reminiscing a lot over my recent dreams. Right now I'm not doing anything so maybe it would be a good time to start writing.

Ooo weird, there's a cookies and cream Lindt Lindor chocolate... mmm... drool. All I've done is EAT since Wednesday!

Again, I hope everyone's holidays were fun and safe and to those in Fort McMurray, keep in touch. I'll be here for the rest of the week. I think I'm leaning toward Edmonton for New Year's, possibly at Adam's and a stop at Justen's. Bye!

dreams, christmas
