Yes. You saw right. TWO MEMES. I'm not really familiar with meme etiquette and whether or not this is okay, but dammit I'm doing it anyway. Awesome memes have been floating around and I am woefully booored.

1) How old were you?
THEN: 10
NOW: 20
2) Where did you go to school?
THEN: Booth-Fickett Math/Science Magnet School
NOW: Pima Community College. I went to the University of Arizona for a semester on an academic scholarship and was a creative writing major, but decided the drive was too long and the tuition too high (even with a scholarship), considering I was completely lost and disillusioned with writing and didn't know what I really wanted to do with my life.
3) Where did you work?
THEN: Other than working the playground like a pimp, nowhere.
NOW: Still nowhere. But I'm considering applying to be a writing/math tutor at my college, since the money is easy and it's the only thing I'm highly qualified for.
4) Where did you live?
THEN: A small brick house in a quiet neighborhood that was separated from a golf course by a chain-link fence. My sister and I used to bum around in our neighbor's back yard and heckle golfers as they crossed the links. GOOD TIMES.
NOW: In a stucco house in a neighborhood where all the houses look the same and an association comes inspecting once a month to make sure your weeds are kept under control, your car is off the street, and your landscaping doesn't GOD FORBID include any unauthorized decorative pots. They try to keep it Stepford and Under Control, but it's a terrible neighborhood. There's been at least four drug houses, one squatter house, a police raid, and countless nights of helicopters shining lights in our backyards looking for criminals.
5) How was your hairstyle?
THEN: Curly, short, brown. Yes, I was adorable.
NOW: Wavy, long, brown.
6) Did you wear braces?
THEN: Not yet! Though I knew I would eventually have to since I had SHARK TEETH-- all over the place and, in some cases, in rows.
NOW: I've had them off since Freshman year in High School. But my teeth have moved a tiny bit since I, uh... never wore my retainer. WHOOPS! XD
7) Did you wear contacts?
THEN: Yes! That was the first and only year I wore contacts. They were a pain in the ass, and eventually the part of me that was obsessed with looking more generic was overwhelmed by the part of me that was very lazy and liked to sleep in.
NOW: No. They've apparently stopped making soft contacts in my prescription. YES, MY EYESIGHT IS THAT AWFUL. Which sucks, because lenses in my prescription are very expensive, and if I had contacts I could just buy like a hundred frames and have a different pair of glasses for every outfit. Which, I must admit, is my ultimate materialistic dream.
8) Did you wear glasses?
THEN: Yes, since I was two years old. By this time I had grown out of my KICK-ASS MINNIE MOUSE PLASTIC GLASSES and was wearing multi-colored frames that were significantly less kick-ass.
NOW: My current pair of glasses are a thin, black, rectangle-ish pair that I've had since right after Middle School. I really need new ones.
9) Who was your best friend?
THEN: Carla and Jaleesa. They were cool and mean and I wanted them to accept me for some reason. RIDICULOUS DRAMA ENSUED.
NOW: My sister. She's four years older than me, but everyone thinks we're twins. We even talk in tandem like twins whenever we're together and freak everyone out. <3
10) Which of your pets was still alive?
THEN: I had just recently gotten my chihuahua. I wanted to name him Dr. E (short for Doctor Enchilada lolwut), but ultimately decided he looked a lot like that Beethoven dog. And then I went crazy with composer names. So his full name is Beethoven Amadeus Mozart. Because I am a dork.
NOW: He's still alive, but very sick a lot of the time. He has Diabetes (don't overfeed your pets out of love, people) and I have to give him insulin twice a day.
11) Who was your boyfriend/girlfriend?
THEN: Danny. He was funny, weird, cute and told me he thought I was beautiful. We "dated" for a year.
NOW: Very happily unattached.
12) Who was your celebrity crush?
THEN: Elijah Wood. I saw him in Flipper and fell in love. I even used his name and mine (LeslieElijah) as my TalkGirl password. IT WAS SERIOUS.
NOW: There is a shameful number of them. But, most prominently: Rupert Grint (ginger hair and awkwardness omggg), Elijah Wood (LotR renewed our troo luv), Claire Danes (why so pretty?), and Clea DuVall (the image of slow-mo water running down her face in "But I'm a Cheerleader" will forever linger).
13) Who was your regular-person crush?
THEN: My friend Carla's boyfriend. He tried to get me to kiss him once, but I was loyal to her. Probably because I also had a crush on her and repressed it until years later. Like I said, RIDICULOUS DRAMA.
NOW: No one in particular. There was a guy I flirted with a little in Psychology last semester, but nothing came of it.
14) How many piercings did you have?
THEN: None! I had long since let my ear holes close up from being too lazy to wear earrings.
NOW: Two. I re-pierced my ears in High School.
15) How many tattoos did you have?
THEN: None. Though I begged my mom to let me.
NOW: Still none! I've been intending to get my back tattooed for more than two years, but haven't been able to save up enough money for it. It's an endless cycle of saving about 40 dollars and then going shopping and spending it all. Someday, though. Maybe.
16) What was your favourite band/singer?
THEN: The Cranberries. "Linger" and "Zombie" were two of my favorite songs ever.
NOW: SO MANY. Muse, The Bravery, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Angels and Airwaves, and Coldplay spring to mind.
17) Had you smoked cigarettes?
THEN: No. I had been tempted once by one my grandpa left burning in an ashtray, but no.

18) Had you got drunk?
THEN: No. How sick would that be?
NOW: Yes. The first time was from drinking margaritas at a family reunion, and I fell into the pool while stumbling after their dog. I AM SO CLASSY.
19) Had you DRIVEN?
THEN: Kind of! My Dad used to take my sister and I to abandoned parking lots where we'd take turns sitting in his lap and steering. The last time we did it I drove up onto a median and that ended that.
NOW: Yes. Although I don't care for it much.
20) If so which car?
THEN: My Dad's white F-250, named Arnold after his favorite former body builder/actor and current Governator.
NOW: My sister's green Taurus (named Betty after Betty Boop) and my white Taurus (named Norma Gene after Marilyn Monroe). Yes, we name cars in our family. XD
21) Looking back are you where you thought you'd be in ten years time?
Well I'm a poor college student, so... pretty much, yeah. 8D
