Haven't really been watching anime in a couple of years (I blame H!P....it consumed all my attention).
Only recently picked up Nurarihyon no Mago (because I'm an avid fan of the manga) and Highschool of the Dead (same as previous). The latter is mostly hilarious because of the sheer amount of completely unnecessary and over the top fanservice. I mean, seriously, Bullet Breast Time required too much suspension of disbelief. Though Busujima Saeko is awesome beyond words. What, I like her type! XDDDD
I identify a lot with Takashi though, interestingly. My favorite girls would be Busujima and Takagi. I do not like Miyamoto Rei mostly because I cannot stand her archetype. Yeah. XD And the puppy Zeke is cute too.
Stream of consciousness at the moment. I have high hopes for NnM, though if the anime fails to deliver, there's always the manga to fall back on. So far they seem to be dealing with the Gyuki arc fine. If memory serves, coming up soon after all the various Nura clan politicking would be the Shikoku arc. I'm looking forward to that as well, though I kind of resent Ienaga Kana for being more prominent in the anime. She pretty much dropped out of sight in the manga because she's just comparatively less significant to the greater events. I hope Yura becomes more developed in the anime too, at the moment she seems kind of flat in terms of character, though she has occasional moments of amusement. I mean, mixing her receipts with her shikigami XDDDD We still haven't got to see her really angry in the anime, though the manga first showed her angry side in the Gyuki arc (in the manga she was in the baths with the other girls when the youkai attacked, so she was really pissed at being caught naked and vulnerable XD). I really like Yura better because she's not completely helpless and can fight. Hell, if she can summon Hagun like she did in the manga, that means she can properly fight by Rikuo's side (which she did, kicking that mindreading guy's ass XD). We need more heroines who are not damsel-in-distress fodder, really. I mean, sure they need help once in a while, but please let them hold their own more often, and occasionally save the hero's butt too. Because we would appreciate less sexism once in a while. XD
And yes, too much babble. Yuki-Onna is adorable. XD I'm curious as to how the anime will shape up. Will they hold off for a season 2, by ending right before the whole Kyoto arc? I think I'll hate Madhouse if they compress the series and head for anime original ending, because Claymore died an unnatural death in anime because of that. Seriously, that was a serious big fat NO to anime original ending (not that the manga currently is showing that much promise, I'm actually feeling disappointed that all the buildup led to...well, it could have been better).
I think I would enjoy watching Gamaran if it ever made it to anime. It's one of my favorite mangas at the moment, mostly because I enjoy fighting. XD Also waiting for Break Blade. I think I've almost given up on ever seeing the next issue of Red Eye though. It's been so long @_@.
Defense Devil could make an interesting transition, though I suspect it would also suffer the Overly Campy Fanservice syndrome. I mean, there was a lot in the manga already. I can imagine the video element would just up the ante. Heh. XD
Slightly lost track with Psyren. I can't remember what else I'm reading. Haha.1/2 Prince needs to update more quickly =_= I'm basically babbling right now because I'm too shot to think coherently.
Probably Incomplete List of Manga I Follow: +C Sword and Cornett, 1/2 Prince, Bartender, Cage of Eden, Chrome Breaker, Claymore, Deadman Wonderland, Defense Devil, Gamaran, Hellsing, Highschool of the Dead, Kamen Rider Spirits (shut up XD), Kekkaishi, Kurosagi, Kuroshitsuji, Mel Kano, Nurarihyon no Mago, Painting Warriors, QED, Rosario-Vampire, Spice and Wolf, The Ravages of Time, Ubel Blatt, Ushio and Tora, Vagabond, Vampire Knight (ugh, I was reading this before it got invaded by the fangirls...), Wildlife, Witch Hunter, XBlade, Zombie Loan...
I left out those I've finished. XD And probably a few I forgot about. Looking at this list, most involve either fantasy or fighting. Frequently both. XD Hehe.
Maybe I'll pick up Angel Sanctuary to read again someday. It was worth the ride...
