Doing this because it looks fun. XD

Gender- Female~ (>o.o)>
Approximate age- Just turned 21 =D (>o.o)>

1. What was the first pop song you remember liking?
Um, Britney Spears >.> I think it was Lucky. Lol.
2. What bands/music groups/singers did you grow up listening to? (>o.o)>

Uh, I was listening to oldies because of my parents. Teresa Teng etc. XD I only started picking up other music later on, like Britney Spears (!), Spice Girls (!!), and started with Jpop with Ayumi Hamazaki and Speed. Oh and Do As Infinity. And who can forget Hikki (Utada Hikaru)? Yeah. XD

3. What bands/music groups/singers were popular when you grew up? (ie. Were on the radio a lot) (>o.o)>

Don't remember much, but Backstreet Boys? XD Britney Spears as well as Spice Girls...oh yeah, Spice Girls was so big when I was just a kid. Haha.

4. When (What year) did you first hear Jpop that you liked? What groups were popular?

I remember I was 12 when I heard it, therefore 2000! Do As Infinity, SMAP...these two stuck in my head for the longest time. XD

5. What kind of Jpop/Jrock did you initially like? (>o.o)>

Well I was pretty into Ayumi's stuff, but then my friend introduced me to BoA and I never looked back since. XD Pretty much anything that's dance-able and catchy. Oh and I like power ballads, Hikki is God. =D

6. Do you still like said kind of Jmusic? (>o.o)>

Stopped listening to Ayumi as much, but I still follow BoA's stuff. A bit disappointed by some of her recent releases though. At least Hikki still has relatively good releases. XD

7. Do you still listen to the music in your native language (or some other language) as often as Jpop? (>o.o)>

My playlist is dominated by Jpop, but Kpop isn't too far behind. I rarely listen to English or Chinese music nowadays. Haha.

8. If so, what other kind of music to you enjoy listening to? (>o.o)>

Kpop. XD I like rap music too, mostly because of Epik High. Yeah. XD I also like the occasional power metal song.

9. Do you go to concerts/performances of your favorite groups from your country? Do you go to ones for J-pop groups?

I don't go to any of the concerts that are in my country. Singapore is too small. >.> The only singers of note...hmm, well, they were alumni from my alma mater, so I actually saw them at some major school festivals a couple times. o_O And yes, I flew all the way to Taiwan for Morning Musume's concert, what do you think? XD

10. What do you think about the Jpop industry's future? Do you think that you'll continue to like it for another 5 years? (>o.o)>

Currently the only Jpop stuff I listen to are from Hikki, BoA and Morning Musume (sad, I know). Oh and Aoyama Thelma. As long as BoA and MM are around, I'd still continue to like it. After all, 8 years of liking Jpop means something. XD

11. What's your favorite group? (>o.o)>

Currently, Morning Musume. XD Duh.

12. Is your favorite song/single/album a Jpop one? (>o.o)> Is it from your favorite artist?

Yes it is. My favorites tend to shift from time to time, but most of my favorites are Jpop. Aoyama Thelma's Soba ni Iru ne, HY's 366日...and a couple of Wonder Girls songs...XD But those are Korean so...and I guess I like these artists but they aren't really a top favorite or anything.

13. Do you like pop from outside of Japan, such as Hannah Montana? (>o.o)>
Yes, I listen to anything. XD

14. Do you like musicals? If so, what's your favorite, and one you really want to see? (This one is just to humor Midori)

I don't really watch musicals that much (except those MM collaborations with Takarazuka lol), and I did watch a few Seramyu just because...oh, I do want to watch Wicked though, just because. =D

===================================================================

I didn't really notice before, but I tend to listen to female artists a lot. o_O The only male artists I remember listening to regularly are SMAP, JJ Lin, Epik High, and occasionally DBSK (or Tohoshinki). And of these 4, I like Epik High the most. XD

But yeah. There's that. XD
