So I have this really good friend who is a lot like me in some ways. He gets very excited about creativity, art, story, and he's a big geek too. The difference is that he's a pretty handsome dude and I'm a bit average aesthetically. We go to dinner a lot when he's in town. Both of us are moderately social guys and like to converse with the wait staff. Especially the waitresses. Well this guy, without even trying, can get a number. I don't get so much as a wingman credit. And I've just realized that he can never be around any girl that I'm ever interested in.
