But how much of a handicap is it really? You know, Aristotle said that anyone who’s ever succeeded in politics, poetry, philosophy, art, or music was a melancholic. So, according to him, this isn’t a handicap at all. In fact, it’s an advantage. Was Aristotle a melancholic? Is success in any of the areas above really worth it?
What comes after the BDI? Pills? Therapy? More question marks? I suppose it could stop right there. I’m not sure if the insurance company would see it that way. “Oh, I’m sorry sir, but your policy clearly states that any attempt to better your quality of life will result in higher premiums.”
Maybe the worst result is finding out that I’m wrong.
