What's new, gang?
Last Sunday was Matt's birthday (he's 24 now!!) and it just so happened that his band was playing in Chicago....SO my mom, Danny and I drove down and totally surprised him! It was really cool. We had purchased regular tickets because we didn't want him to find out we were coming, but once we got there he brought us semi-vip passes and we got to be onstage when they played and also we got to partake in their catering service. Yum!
Heather was wonderful enough to let us crash in her lil apartment despite the fact that she started her first day of work with a new company on Monday! :) She's such a trooper!
I only have one more week of work before vacation! We are going to visit my Uncle and his family in DC for a few days, then they are going to follow us back to MI and visit for a few days. I am most excited about our pit stop in Philly on our way home for CHEESE STEAKS! I've never had one and they just sound so good! Our plan is to taste test between Geno's and Pat's, then drive up the street to the Mutter Museum. Should be good times.
Luckily, we have a friend who is staying at the house for the few days we are gone, so our cats won't starve or become de-socialized!! ha.
