monday ramblings
yeah. it was really rainy today, and also very cold. i'm glad i ended up with that random umbrella from the limo, because my other one is broken. that umbrella was very useful today. a little while ago, i think i saw lightning, and that was pretty fucking cool. at first i thought i was going crazy, but then i saw it again AND i checked the forecast, which.. drumroll please.. DID call for thunderstorms. so there. not crazy.
i got a care package from my mom today.. it made me happy. she sent me more pilates DVDs and a very interesting-looking book. OH also she sent me this very cute belt which i plan to wear to rickshaw this friday. :) there were more things in the box but those were by far my favorites.
so i finally made it back to my beloved waffle barn. i had missed that place and its deliciousness. after a night of craziness, i'm pretty sure that california omlette was the best thing i've ever eaten. yum yum yum. but now i'm definitely craving one. i can't wait for breakfast. the only things available for eating in my room are not so appealing to me at the moment. (unflavored popcorn? what kind of stupid idea was that? anyway.) and i do not wish to brave the outside world and venture out to the market or to cafe in the park.. for it is rainy and cold.
i need to change the subject now because my stomach is starting to growl persistently. maybe now would be a good time to write that critical thinking paper that i need for class tomorrow.. but i probably won't. its not late enough yet.. lol actually what i bet will happen is that i will write it in a hurried frenzy tomorrow morning before class. yup. its okay, its just a rough draft thats due.. so its alright if it sucks.
oh hey, here's something i can talk about.. my speech class. okay, so we're doing this group presentation, and i usually cannot STAND them.. theres always someone who just doesnt contribute and i usually want to be the boss of everything (lol) and i cant and thats frustrating. but i ended up with a completely awesome group. we totally bounce ideas off each other, everyones really into it, and i think our presentation is going to kick so much ass. im really excited.
hmmm well. i got distracted for a while and now i'm too tired for thinking and writing. so goodnight, little ell jay. talk to you later
