so.
to put it simply, i have a lot to write about. first and foremost: graduation.
but now the ceremony seems like a blur. a crazy, green blur. i remember most of the rest of my day though, and i loved every minute of it. first i went to starbucks with my dad, then to his old work to visit. it was so great to see how happy everyone was to see my dad. he taught his last art class, we went to recess, all the kids were laughing and happy and wonderful.
next? mmhmm. i got the best manicure/pedicure everrr. oh, and by the way, so did my father. yes, thats right folks. my fathers toenails were pampered and polished just like mine. the jury's still out on whether or not my dad prefers men. (no no im joking around, but i wouldnt have my dad any other way, really.)
the next couple things went by pretty quickly.. lunch, hair, makeup.
then things started to get REALLY interesting.
on the way to school, the fact that i was GRADUATING was starting to hit me.. and so, of course, i started having a mini panic attack: blurting out "oh my god oh my god" every so often and having my stomach come under attack by thousands upon thousands of nervous butterflies. it didnt help that silly cody DIDNT HAVE HIS TIE and therefore COULDNT COME INTO THE GYM. i was freaking out, thinking that i wouldnt have anyone to walk with (but more importantly that cody couldnt walk!). luckily, his mom is awesome, and made it back with his tie just in time! phew.
waiting in the gym amid the sea of green caps and gowns and stifling heat was no fun. no. fun. i was so sweaty. yuck. but still i was "oh my god"-ing it up.
the rest? it went by like this: whooooooooooosssshhhhh. especially when my name was called and i walked onto the stage. i have no recollection of it at all.. which seems so strange since its such a momentous occasion, you know?
okay. here's the deal. edward scissorhands is on. i must watch. i simply must. i promise to write more soon, okaaayyyy?
