words can sound so empty. even good ones fall flat, fall short.
especially written words, robotic words found on a computer screen.
they are nothing like kisses. they do nothing to refill holes or mend rips and tears. words are wet bandaids. the gesture of good will is there, but in reality they are just useless, lifeless. pointless.
especially if they are hard to believe. even if you want to believe them.. they do nothing.
especially if the words combine to make a sentence like "i never meant to hurt you." while that's better to hear than "i purposefully tried to make your life hell," it certainly doesn't take away anything. it doesn't nullify pain.
especially if you knew they knew it'd happen. especially if YOU knew it'd happen.
especially if you're trying to be nonchalant. especially if your head is broken and your heart hurts. especially if you feel pathetic and stupid. especially if you're angry. especially if you're telling livejournal your troubles because you don't think anyone else wants to listen.
