Calendar Progression.

I am not Mexican, so I won't kick this off with the obvious reference to a certain international holiday, co-opted by US companies to sell beer and avocados. Truth be told, I probably share more blood with the conquistadors than with the native sons of the Americas. And it never really sat well with me that we embrace some of these international celebrations and not others - I mean, the Founding Fathers based our Democratic model on French Philosophy, so why do we not give the nod to Bastille Day? If it's proximity-based, then why don't we know when Canada Day is? (Is there even a Canada Day?) I'm tellin' ya, it seems arbitrary, and a little capricious.

But I didn't log in here to tell you about that.

I just clicked this open and read through a number of previous posts, and there's a lot of talk about Cidae's Rise in here. Well, I've been trying to keep grinding on Book Four - Which, by the way, has changed its focus and its working title - but life, and other narrative revelations, have gotten in the way. (Just had an epiphany on a D.Prae sequel book, for chrissake.) But a talk with one of my co-authors today has quite possibly lifted this boat off the morass it foundered on, and now I have a chance at getting it moving again.

The new working title, by the way? Cidae's Rise: Tangled Blood. Trust me, it works better.

More as the narrative progresses.
