Attention Smokers: ( a little tip)

I quit...and I have been on the patch.

Every night I dream of cigarettes. And of course there are cravings.

TODAY, I tried an interesting practice; one which I thought would be beneficial.

I tried having *ONE* cigarette...and by giving myself *one*; I thought I could dissuade cravings and see that I don't want it that much anyway.

Sometimes lifting the taboo, relieves one of a desire.

And it did. I had that one, and I thought it was *disgusting*.

I made my best efforts to enjoy it, but I luckily confirmed for myself...that I have no urge to smoke 500 afterward. It was harsh, and it ripped my throat, and it tasted gross.

No more cigarettes, only as planned: Only when drinking and at parties. I never intended to be an official smoker anyway...but I got addicted hardcore.

Good luck to you quitters.  I know you can do it! And plus...try my little tip. If sometimes you need it (and you have a lot of *control*): Try letting yourself have one anyway.  You may find that the more you covet and project a thing...the tighther lock it will have...on your chains of desire.
