I just got an email from my dad saying, "Well, the election is virtually over. Stay in England. We will be joining you soon." Which is cool with me, except Great Britain is not without its faults, especially with how they perceive Americans. I got up early to see the election results, but of course they had not finished counting the votes. Stupid Iowa, New Mexico, and especially Ohio. However, I did see that first of all the electoral votes given by the BBC were completely off. Finally, later in the day they matched them up with CNN's results. Then I watched this stupid news show, kind of the BBC's version of Crossfire, that had a special reporter in Washington in search of average Americans to ask their opinions of who should win. So where do they go to find these Americans you might ask? Bowling Allies. Well, that's logical. Wrong. If you want to find average Americans you do not go to a bowling ally on a Tuesday night because all you will find there is the armpit of America. One man said that he didn't vote because the election doesn't concern him. Hmmm....that's interesting, I thought it concerned everyone, and if it doesn't it should. Then this awful show had two American conservatives on talking about how there is no such thing as Democrat and Republican. All it comes down to is people voting for people. I was watching this with Danny and we were both just like where did they find these people? Did they just go out on to the street in England looking for people with American accents and bring them to their studio? The worst part was while these silly conservatives were talking nonsense, the hosts of this show were just nodding their heads in complete agreement. WTF? Did they even hear what these women were saying? The BBC is crap when it comes to American politics, so I will stick with my CNN on-line thank you very much.
