Hello everyone!
I am having soooooooooooooo much fun. I really don't want classes to start because I am afraid the fun will stop. All the people here are really cool and I have gotten to know quite a lot of them really well. There is one guy who used to life guard at PDC and he knows Connie, Chris Fellows, Adam Saunders, and Dave Turner. It's a small world. I just came back from Lamb and Flag with about 12 people. I had my first pint of Guinness and hopefully my last. Much too bitter for me, but I did gain much respect from the guys because I was the only girl who got one. Now that I have their respect, I think I will stick with the cider and the other girlier beers that are a lot sweeter. I also gained some hot points from the guys when they found out I have a tattoo. Which I think is funny; I knew I got it for a reason. Anyway, I took a tour of Oxford today and got to see the place where a lot of Harry Potter was filmed as well as the place "Bloody" Mary burned three Arch Bishops, who were apparently Cambridge boys. (I know those two things go together quite well). Also, I learned that J.R.R. Tolkien's house before he died is right behind ours and he is buried up the street. So, tomorrow I have a meeting at the Bodelien Library and then my classes start Tuesday, so I afraid the fun will have to diminish at least a little bit for me to maintain a good GPA. I must say though, after only being here two days, I understand this culture a whole lot more. I am already a little sad about going back home. Some of the guys here are talking about reapplying for Spring semester, but I know if I did that it would take me like 6 years to graduate. So, one will have to do, but there is always grad school! Anyway, I have to go look up B&Bs for mitch and me to stay in when he comes up for my birthday. Write again soon!
