Back To Where I Belong

After almost 2yrs of stay away from home i returned back to my homeland last weekend from UK. It was a adventurous stay with lot of activities, busy work schedules, loads of traveling, bugging weather, bla bla bla ( more about this later as weeks progress ). I am back and back here for good ( hopefully ).

One of the most impt things along with home cooked food and good weather which i was expecting after i came back here was to lay my hands on my new lens :) I didnt wanted to waste much time having that in my hands without clicking anything so we planned last night and 5 of us ( myself, jayanth, pramod, raghavendra and avinash ) went out towards Kanakpura this morning. One and only aim for this trip was Eurpean Bee Eaters which were there for sometime now and would be migrating back in coming days. We had a awesome sighting of about 25-30 EBEs showcasing their mid-air acrobatic skills in catching dragonfly and lemon panacy butterfly. Thought because of the poor light in the morning it was not that easy to make good images, the overall effort was satisfactory. Sighting wise we saw more than what we expected with Kingfishers, Bayaweavers, Prinias, Coucals, Bablers, Rollers, Doves, Lapwings, Herons, Ibis, etc

The Ashy prinia above is also one of the birds that was shot today morning.

Hope to bug everyone with more Indian ( S.Indian ) birds, mammals, macro and landscape from now on.
