So...so tired...
So, one week into our new appointment. We signed the lease last Saturday, and started moving that day. Sunday we had our wonderful friends felipemcguire, luriddreamscape , fencermatt, poubeans (who helped us move despite meeting us like three times max!), 3pwood, dendacien, and Josie, who shall henceforth be known as the Woman With No LJ Name, helping us move all our stuff, including packing of the vast amount of things we had not yet gotten to. That finished by about 4 pm, leaving me to return to pack up the random unmoved flarn and the cats, and my love simpleton_prime to do some rudimentary arranging of the furniture.
Which is when we found out that our bed is too big to fit into the only space it can possibly go. Argh! So, we have been sleeping on the futon until we are able to cut the bed down to size, (which we can now do thanks to some loaned power tools.) The futon, by the way, is not exactly the best bed in the world.
So, Monday I had a full day of work while simpleton_prime did more furniture moving, and trying to keep up with his class reading. Tuesday I cleaned the old place while simpleton_prime had classes and work all day. Wednesday I worked until I had to leave early to finish cleaning while simpleton_prime wrote his seven-page paper that was already late. Thursday I had a full day of work while simpleton_prime again had work and classes. And today I had to go back to finish Wednesday's work, and had regular work on top of that, while simpleton_prime had a hastily rescheduled job interview!
So, we're both a bit tired. And there's still so much unpacking to do...
The upside is that we like our new place a lot, we already have internet, and we now have a new, super-comfy if rather Grandma-like Chrysler New Yorker. So, we have that going for us. I plan on sleeping all weekend.
