Y'know, usually I am just like most Americans about my spirituality. That is, I don't really think about it or do anything related to it, as life kind of intervenes. But then sometimes...
Sometimes I hear a song of prayer and it makes me nearly weep with the beauty of it, with the promise of the beauty of life. Sometimes I'm so glad that I have a way to express the feeling that, just maybe, there's more to life than just what we can see. And I'm glad that I had a way to comfort my mother, joining in as she prayed over my dying grandmother.
I really wish, sometimes, that I had more of this in my life. But then, life intervenes, and I'll probably just sit back and do nothing, again...
