At the sound of another voice, Rush became silent. Though confused in his current state, the voice was not one he recognized too well, but it certainly wasn't one of hostility. His head shot towards the direction he heard it from, yet his eyes did not open just yet.
"W-who are you?" he asked. "Where is Irina and Dave?"
"I'm Serah." She said. "I'm guessing you're new around here too?"
She tilted her head to the side as she gave the young man a gentle smile. "But before you ask and answer any questions further, we gotta get you out of there." She said as she looked around to see if she could find any sort of rope or stick to help the man get out.
The warm welcome would have brought some relief to Rush, had he not been blind. The voice was comforting to hear though, but had little ease on Rush. Still he panicked, pushing through the water and trying to escape. Wind blew in, and that had not helped, nearly freezing his skin.
Slowly, his eyes opened, vision blurry. Managing to get but a mere glimpse of Serah, he walked towards her, extending his hand. He was taking slow breaths, trying to calm himself and not do anything stupid. "Yeah, I could."
Lightning had left Cloud back at the airship when she got the call from Sarah. He understood of course. But as she made her way down the street toward the church there was a clap of thunder and it began pouring rain. She could only shake her head ruefully and wonder when there would be a rain repelling sheild she could activate the way she could her gravity bomb. In the meantime though she would just have to deal. A little rain never hurt anyone, right?
Running around like headless chickens in the rain, things were certainly not going to look up anytime soon. With the poorly constructed shelters this place had to offer thus far, where else could he and Serah end up wandering to? For both of their sakes, Rush hoped Serah knew where she had been going all this time.
Turning his head slightly, he spotted a woman oddly similar to Serah, a near clone save for the look in her eyes and face; such was the appearance of a warrior, one Rush knew all too well. It reminded him of Emmy and Emma, and how he had often confused the daughter and mother.
"Uh, is that your sis?" asked Rush, trying to get Serah's attention.
Lightning sighed, looking a bit relieved to see her sister was alright. She strode over to the girl, and though it was obvious she was happy to see her she also gave the man she was with a suspicious look. It was a lot like the looks she'd given Snow when she'd first met him. It was that usual over protective feeling she always got when strange men started hanging around her little sister.
"What are you doing out here?" She turned her attention back to her sister. Everything else could wait. "You're going to catch a cold."

Lightning. Her sister.
A wide smile appeared on her face as she looked at her sister then at Rush. "Yup! That's her!" She said.
"Sis!" Serah then yelled while waving. "Over here!"
