ok, so I refuel my tank from empty at 5PM. I refuel approx 10 gallons. So therefore I assume my tank is about 10 gallons. I also reset my odometer to 0 at the time. Then tonight I drive 98.3 miles. Since thats close enough to 100 miles, lets just use the unit 100 for now. My gas guage reads only a quarter empty. So, if it's only a quarter empty, then 100 x 4 = 400. Okay, so I have a tank that will allow me to go approx 400 miles. Now, if I have ten gallons capacity for my tank, then 400/10 = 40. That means 40 miles a gallon. Holy crap thats change from 15 miles a gallon. Holy crap I love this car.
