this week
i was sick. it'd been a long time since i'd been really really sick so i guess i was overdue. monday and tuesday was stomach cramps and dizziness. wednesday was headache.
i got better. yeah i was reciting my usual "why i like being sick" line on thursday.
sandy is brain dead. while i initially couldn't associate the face with the name, sandy is ruben's girlfriend and apparently she underwent a surgery to remove he breast cancer but it'd already spread to her brain. sad shit. they had to put her down saturday. this served as a reminder that knowing someone doesn't make them immune to all the shit that's on the news. anything can happen to anyone and we'd all best be prepared to lose everyone we know.
dark knight was bad ass! the story goes like this. red was having their first party at the 740 club on fri but was canceled/postponed for one reason or another. it was supposed to go on til 7am and lito was all enthusiastic about this so i'd had a big ass lunch. someone suggested we all gather at ana's for dinner but i was already full and really, i'd had it in my mind to watch dark knight sometime this week. that and kristy supplied me with a free pass to amc so i couldn't pass it up.
i got strep throat. i woke up saturday all late and feeling like shit again. ana, heather, vania and roxy showed up unexpectedly and really, i didn't feel like hanging out. they took daniele to some girl thing and by the time they came back, i'd concluded i'd jynxed myself with being sick: stomach, dizziness, headache, and now sore throat. the lymph nodes on my neck were so swollen, you could see it popping out all the way to my ear. sunday, i pulled myself together and lito and i spent some time changing the oils on the hhr, inegra, and my 5-speed. later, at litos insistence, i dragged my ass over to his sister's house where they barbecued and bullshitted. we charged the battery to my new civic (that i finally paid off) and lito cut my hair. monday came around and i had the sorest fuckin throat. fuck if i was going to work like that. i stayed in my room the whole day, hoping my resting was doing me good. as i was brushing my teeth, i happened to open my mouth to glance at my throat and i saw a buncha white shit there. looks like one of those cumshot pornos. daniele confirmed it was strep and gave me some motrin and some of her pills.
