As soon as they’d gobbled down their breakfasts, and donned their warmest wear, the whole party went to the stables. In a short matter they had their horses ready, had taken to the fields, and Mars and Jadeite sat at the reigns of their sleighs. The pair flashed challenging grins at one another, as Nephrite stepped out between them. He waved one of Venus’ handkerchiefs for attention, then dropped it. With a flurry of snow, the teams were off--they’d settle this once and for all.

They're flirting over horses... I surrender ;) Aw, SilMil horses! Also, I loved all the mental images that their talks about reigns brought up. ;D
Now we have Zoisite and Mercury sleighing, Nephrite and Jupiter, and Rei against Mars. Plus Usagi and Chibi-Usa with whoever they could get a hold of. Great prompt!

Her boot slipped a little as she stepped on the edge of the sleigh, and he wound up with an armful of wool cloak, heavy overskirt, layers of petticoats and underthings, and somewhere underneath it all, her rather admirable bottom. His laughter rumbled through the layers, and she quickly righted herself, her face burning despite the chill air.

there's something subtly and disturbingly hot about nephrite explaining how to handle the reins, and i am quite sure it was intentional. way to make big, grunty, neighy horses sexy, spirit :P the dialogue is wonderful and the description is so vivid, thanks for sharing!
